Every photograph on TankMend is licensed from a free stock library. Photographers are credited here rather than under each image, so guides stay clean to read.

128 photographs

TankMend does not print credit lines under images. A photographer’s name stamped across a diagram of a filter housing helps nobody, and captions clutter a guide you are trying to read while holding a wet impeller.

So the attribution lives here instead, in one place, for every photograph on the site.

Licensing

All photographs are licensed from Unsplash, Pexels, or Pixabay under their respective free licences, which permit commercial use without attribution. We credit anyway, because the photographers did the work.

No image on this site is AI generated, and we do not use manufacturer product photography, marketing images, or brand assets. See our disclaimer regarding trademarks and non-affiliation.

A note on subject matter

Free stock libraries hold very little photography of actual aquarium equipment. Where no literal photograph exists, guides are illustrated with the closest real subject instead: a pressure regulator for CO2, an impeller for pumps, a temperature gauge for heating. Photographs on this site illustrate a concept, they are not photographs of the specific product being discussed.
